In-home assistance offers help with daily living activities for frail individuals such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating and general moving about. Personal care is the provision of in-home assistance with activities of daily living (ADL) for individual including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, eating, and ambulating.
Personal care does not include health oriented services as specified for Home Health Aide Services.
Personal care is provided under supervision of professional qualified staff. Each worker must be trained for the tasks they perform. The supervisor must approve tasks to be performed by each worker.
ADL includes personal hygiene and grooming, meal preparation and kitchen safety, homemaking and leisure pursuits.
